AplaXFoam extruded polystyrene for walls
Description
The technology for obtaining extruded polystyrene granules by extrusion provides extruded polystyrene boards a uniform structure of closed cells, which confers them specific technical features: low level, long term thermal conductivity, excellent mechanical resistance, no capillarity, high moisture resistance, resistance to cycles (frost-thaw), high durability, high resistance to vapour diffusion, low weight and easy handling, easy to cut with simple tools, resistant to root action, clean, odourless and non-irritant to the skin.
Use
- Heat insulation of exterior walls, non-circulable terraces, wood frame roofs
- Heat insulation of floors built over cold rooms
- Boards incorporated into the flooring, suspended ceilings below roofs,
- Structural element strength enhancing works (thermal bridge insulation, cladding of basement walls, etc.)
- Heat insulation repair works on terraces, impact noise acoustic insulation as floating slab
- Good thermal insulator (low λ coefficient)
- Slight retention of water and moisture
- High mechanical resistance
- Self-extinguishing properties
- Resistant to acid and alkali aggression
- Inertia in temperature variations
- Compatibility with materials used in construction (cement, gypsum)
- Easy to carry, cut, and apply
